1. Information We Collect
We adhere to strict data minimization. When using tglist.ing:
- Public Browsing: No account is required to search, filter, or open Telegram bots. We keep limited security logs to detect abuse and keep rankings fair.
- Telegram Login: When you log in via Telegram, we store basic public profile information needed to run your account. We never receive or store your phone number or Telegram chat messages.
- Bot Owner Data: If you claim or submit a bot, we store your submission details. We verify ownership without storing secrets.
2. How We Use Your Information
Information collected is used solely to:
- Authenticate your account and enable upvoting, ratings, and bot submissions.
- Verify Telegram bot ownership.
- Prevent spam, abuse, and manipulation of directory rankings.
- Understand aggregate usage trends to improve the directory.
3. Third-Party Services & Storage
We rely on privacy-minded infrastructure providers:
- Media hosting: Used for hosting public bot avatar images.
- Spam protection: Used to protect bot submissions and reviews from automated spam without invasive tracking.
- Analytics: Product analytics (PostHog) and Google Analytics. Without your agreement both run cookie-free and store nothing on your device; analytics cookies are only set if you agree via the consent banner. Google Analytics never receives advertising or personalization signals from us. We do not link events to your account.
4. Cookies, Consent & Analytics
- Essential — always on: a session cookie that keeps you signed in. It is strictly necessary for the site to function, so it does not require consent and cannot be switched off.
- Product analytics cookies — opt-in: only if you agree in the consent banner do we store an analytics identifier on your device, which lets us connect visits over time. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing [email protected].
- Cookie-free page statistics — always on: if you decline or don't choose, we still count page views and errors without any cookies or device storage. PostHog tells visitors apart only by a daily-rotating, one-way hash computed on its servers, so a visit can't be followed across days; Google Analytics receives anonymous, identifier-free page view pings that it uses only for aggregate estimates.
- Search statistics — always on: to improve the directory we keep anonymized, aggregate search statistics for a limited period. Searches are never linked to accounts and this data never leaves our own servers.
We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking scripts.
5. Your Data Rights & Deletion Requests
You have the right to request deletion of your account, submitted reviews, or bot listings at any time. To request data deletion or inquire about your data, contact our moderation team at [email protected] or via the report system.
